ThreeFold Marketplace

The ThreeFold Marketplace is a central platform facilitating the exchange of value through the TFP system. It connects providers and users, enabling the discovery, acquisition, and management of various resources and services within the ThreeFold ecosystem.

The Marketplace offers various categories including: Compute Resources (slices) for cloud computing, physical 3Nodes for hardware, Mycelium Gateways for connectivity, self-healing Application Solutions that maintain your data sovereignty, and Human Energy Services where you can access professional expertise.

Unlike traditional SaaS offerings where you surrender control to the provider, ThreeFold's model maintains your sovereignty in two ways: You can either manage your own compute slices directly for complete control, or you can allocate your sovereign compute slices to solution providers who will deploy and manage applications on your infrastructure. With application solutions, you still own and control the underlying resources, your data remains on infrastructure under your control, providers cannot access your data without explicit permission, and you can revoke management access at any time. These applications feature continuous monitoring, automated recovery, backup systems, and security updates.

TFP (ThreeFold Points) is the value exchange system used within the marketplace with a stable value of 0.1 USD per TFP. It facilitates the exchange of value between providers and users. TFP is transferred based on resource utilization, hardware value, or agreed service rates depending on the marketplace category.
